Jewish Child’s Day – National Community Fundraising Coordinator

Jewish Child’s Day is looking for a motivated, organised, and proactive individual with experience of working in the Jewish community setting to help us develop a new outreach strategy throughout the UK.
This is an exciting time to join our unique charity, as we seek to expand and grow our programmes, creating meaningful engagement projects with external organisations around the UK to enable Jewish Child’s Day to find the next generation of supporters.
Candidate Profile
This is an innovative and new role within the JCD family primarily looking at creating strong and active relationships across the Jewish communities within the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate should be able to travel at times to main centres of Jewish population in the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is forward thinking and proactive in canvassing exciting new relationships both within the communal and corporate sectors to increase growth and loyal support of Jewish Child’s Day’s key objectives.
We aim to strengthen our brand by connecting with the regions to identify how best to reach the various demographics.
The successful candidate will be required to create, develop, and engage with communities nationally, launching fresh initiatives and developing new fundraising streams. You will act as an Ambassador for JCD, be warm, friendly and confident in public speaking, have strong organisational skills to grow this area and excellent communication skills to liaise with all cross communal communities, both young and old.
Your responsibilities will include working alongside the fundraising team and connect with youth, schools, synagogues, communities, students, and young professionals to increase awareness and scope out fundraising opportunities within these areas, including developing a young patron’s programme.
One of the primary responsibilities of this role is to create and introduce a new programme for JCD with the objective of launching an annual national fundraising campaign in December 2023. Working alongside the fundraising & marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in driving fundraising efforts, working collaboratively with your colleagues to achieve our shared goals. Specifically, you will be responsible for spearheading some of the key fundraising initiatives.

‘Jewish Child’s Day 2023’ – Working together with the fundraising & marketing team to establish and coordinate a brand new annual national fundraising day for JCD. This will include strategic planning and logistical preparations including the recruitment of dedicated volunteers. You will be responsible for generating a percentage of this income. |

- Salary £28K-£32K FTE – commensurate on experience + travel expenses.
(Holiday entitlement: 20 days plus bank holidays and Jewish holidays)
