We thank Jewish Child’s Day for their support since 2016; providing funding for our IT programs, Creative Break summer scheme and Innate Health wellbeing initiative and directly impacting in excess of 180 young women in our community.

Y is the middle child in a family of 7, residing in the Stamford Hill Orthodox Jewish neighbourhood, known for historically high levels of poverty and deprivation.

After graduating school with average GCSE grades, the culturally appropriate progression routes were limited, further exacerbated by the lack of funding and her speech impairment.  Y joined our PC Powered program (funded by JCD in 2016-17) and achieved an ITQ Level2 and 3 certificate as well as an Office Skills accreditation through Study House.  To jumpstart her career, Teen Action recruited her on a 6-month contract as part of the Government’s Kick Start scheme.

Through our training and programs, we have supported close to 1500 young women, allowing them to recognise their potential.
