“I met Nurit, a 12-year-old girl, during a chemotherapy treatment she was receiving for lymphoma. She suffered from abdominal pain, weakness and difficulty falling asleep. I gave her reflexology treatment in her bed on the ward. At the beginning of the treatment she was totally stressed. Slowly she calmed down and even managed to fall asleep during the treatment. In another session, I taught her how to press on pressure points in her body that can ease the pains and side effects. Since then, I meet up regularly with Nurit when she comes for her chemotherapy. I meet her in the hemato-oncology ward and I give her reflexology treatment – mainly for sedation and rest. Thank you Jewish Child’s Day for making this work possible.” – Moshik, a therapist in the pediatric oncology ward at Soroka hospital.
