Thanks to the generosity of Jewish Child’s Day’s loyal donors, we were able to award £15K to Mishpacha Odessa Children’s Orphanage.
This was an emergency response as they had to evacuate 120 orphans to Moldova – including a one-month-old baby who was abandoned at the orphanage a few weeks before. We have since learned that thankfully the children have now taken refuge in Berlin.
We had a bitter-sweet feeling when we received their message:
“The kids are safe. They live in Berlin now. Trying to make entertainment for them and make sure they have peace of mind. We evacuate hundreds of people every day. I have attached the photos of the children in Berlin and they are incredibly grateful for our support”.
