“Thank you for your generous donation. Thanks to you, we were able to help Orthodox Jewish women in Israel who are suffering from eating disorders to receive full treatment for more than two months!!

Treatment begins with an initial intake interview in which a personalized treatment plan is created with a staff Psychologist. Treatment time and success rates vary based on the stage and severity of each patient’s disorder. On average, patients meet with a dietitian, clinical Psychologist or art therapist two to three times weekly to discuss their fears of eating and weight gain. During clinical visits patients also eat and socialize with clinical mentors (social work/ Psychology students), making the eating experience a more positive one. Throughout their treatment at the center, staff Psychiatrists and medical doctors monitor patients’ emotional progress, weight gain, and blood pressure, ensuring that patients remain healthy and on track to recovery.
